The mural I made in Els Poblets (Alicante) is one of those artistic interventions in which urban art becomes a tool to connect the historical memory of the municipality with its contemporary identity. This project arises to value one of the most important heritage elements of the area: the Roman remains found on the beach of Almadrava, an archaeological site that is part of the Mediterranean past of the Marina Alta.
For this work, I developed a composition centered on the figure of a Roman woman holding an amphora, represented in a naturalistic figurative style that maintains my personal stamp. The choice of the amphora is not accidental: it symbolizes daily life, maritime trade and the connection of the people with the Mediterranean since ancient times. The figure is accompanied by a background in which the Almadrava beach appears, merging landscape, history and urban art in a single mural.
The goal was to create a work that would not only decorate, but also tell a story, reinforce the identity of the place and offer a point of cultural interest for neighbors and visitors alike. The mural also integrates with the surroundings by combining natural tones, soft texture and a balanced composition that harmonizes with the architecture of the wall.
