Mural in Espai La Xara – Urban Art on the Union between Generations

The mural made in Espai La Xara, located in the renovated building where the BJ used to be, is a particularly significant project because of its human and social charge. This space has become a meeting point where young people, adults and seniors live together, participate in workshops and share community activities. From the first moment I knew that the work had to reflect this intergenerational essence.

For this, I represented a child and an old lady holding hands, creating a tender and symbolic image that perfectly summarizes the spirit of Espai La Xara: the connection between ages, mutual support and the importance of building spaces where all generations can live together in harmony. The composition is designed to integrate with the architecture of the building, bringing color, warmth and a recognizable visual identity to the environment.

My murals in La Xara have always sought to dialogue with the life of the municipality, but on this occasion, the social and emotional message was especially important. The mural not only decorates the space, but also reinforces community values and becomes a point of reference for its users.

Mural art for community spaces, social centers and intergenerational projects

This project is part of my line of work focused on murals for social, educational and community spaces, where art becomes a tool to communicate values, improve the environment and create identity. I have had the opportunity to develop projects in cultural centers, institutes, schools, libraries and municipal buildings in different locations, and I always focus on each mural to reflect the purpose and life of the place.

Murals like this one contribute:

  • Cohesion and sense of belonging.

  • Clear and accessible social messages.

  • A welcoming environment for users of all ages.

  • A visual element that reinforces the mission of the space.
