At the Secondary School of Benissa, I made a mural project designed to inspire students and promote positive values within the school. The mural depicts a young girl sitting on a sofa while reading, surrounded by a set of books with titles of universal classics. This composition takes the students to a quiet, reflective and creative space, where reading, knowledge and curiosity take center stage.
The main objective of this project was to encourage the reading habit and convey the importance of culture, study and continuous learning. The warm atmosphere, the relaxed posture of the figure and the presence of iconic literary works help to create a clear visual message: reading opens doors, inspires ideas and strengthens critical thinking. In an educational environment, these types of artistic interventions become a powerful tool to motivate, transmit values and humanize spaces.
This mural is part of my career as a muralist in educational and social projects. Over the last few years I have worked in numerous schools, institutes and youth centers, developing works that connect with students, improve the aesthetics of the school environment and reinforce positive messages such as respect, effort, diversity, creativity and teamwork. The Benissa mural is an example of how art can transform educational spaces, making them more welcoming, inspiring and adapted to the student community.
