Mural for the Casal Jove of Dénia – Urban art for young people in a key space of the city

This mural was made in Dénia, in one of the busiest areas of the city, specifically at the exit of the Castle, a strategic point through which neighbors, young people and visitors pass daily. It was commissioned by the City Council of Dénia for the Casal Jove, a space dedicated to youth where cultural, social and educational activities aimed at the new generations are developed.

The location of the mural is particularly significant, as it is in an environment where history, tourism and daily life coexist. In addition, it is an area where I have done other murals nearby, which contributes to create an urban artistic route that reinforces the visual identity of the neighborhood and makes the mural art part of the regular landscape of the city.

A mural designed for young people: realism, color and energy.

The mural depicts a young girl and a young boy, portrayed in a realistic, close and contemporary style. The figures stand out clearly against a background with a very youthful aesthetic, composed of dynamic shapes, vibrant colors and fresh drawings that bring movement and energy to the composition. This contrast between the realism of the faces and the graphic language of the background generates a powerful, attractive and easily identifiable image for the young public.

The main objective of the project was to create an image with which young people would feel represented, a mural that would not be distant or institutional, but close, current and aligned with their way of expressing themselves. The use of color, textures and graphic elements is designed to connect with the creativity, diversity and vitality of this stage of life.

The result is a work that completely transforms the wall and reinforces the identity of the Casal Jove, making it a visible, recognizable and attractive space within the urban fabric of Denia.

Urban art as a tool for youth dynamization

This project is a clear example of how professional urban art can function as a tool for social dynamization, especially in spaces dedicated to youth. A mural of these characteristics not only fulfills an aesthetic function, but also a social function:

  • Improves the image of the building and its surroundings

  • Strengthens the link between young people and the space they use

  • Provides identity and character to a municipal facility

  • Humanizes urban space

  • Conveys positive values of coexistence, diversity and creativity.

In the case of the Casal Jove of Dénia, the mural acts as a visual reference point and as a letter of introduction to the space for those passing through the area.

Murals for city councils, youth spaces and public projects

Although this mural is located in Dénia, it is part of a broader line of work focused on urban art projects for city councils, youth centers and public spaces. More and more municipalities are betting on muralism as a way to revitalize urban areas, connect with youth and improve the image of their buildings.

Naturally, this type of project is linked to searches related to:

  • Murals in Dénia and Marina Alta

  • Professional muralist for municipalities

  • Urban art for youth spaces

  • Murals for cultural centers and youth centers

  • Urban art projects in Valencia, Alicante and other Spanish cities

Without forcing the discourse, the text shows that I make murals both locally and in other locations, adapting to the needs of each institution and the social context of the project.

A mural integrated into the city and its surroundings

The location of the mural, next to the exit of the Castle of Denia, reinforces its visibility and impact. It is a constant point of passage that allows the work to be seen by a wide audience, from young users of the Casal Jove to tourists and neighbors. In this way, the mural not only fulfills an internal function, but also dialogues with the city and is integrated into its contemporary urban landscape.
