In 2022 I made this large format mural on the facade of the new Public School of La Xara, a particularly exciting project that has become one of my most significant urban art interventions in the Marina Alta. The center is a modern school, a bright space open to the future, one of those that many of us dreamed of as children. What I never imagined then is that one day I would have the opportunity to leave my artistic mark on its main entrance.

The mural, designed to be integrated into an educational environment, depicts two children in a moment of discovery, accompanied by birds and elements of nature that connect directly with the Mediterranean landscape and the daily life of La Xara. This scene seeks to convey a message of creativity, freedom, curiosity and empowerment aimed at all students of the center. My intention was to create an educational mural that would beautify the façade and, at the same time, provide an inspiring image for the new generations.

The work is made using my usual technique, a combination of plastic paint with brushes and rollers along with aerosol for the finer details. This mixture allows me to achieve a contemporary figurative style, very present in my large format mural painting projects and in my interventions in public spaces. The City Council of La Xara promoted this project as part of its commitment to public art and to integrate contemporary muralism in the spaces of the municipality.

This project is part of a line of work focused on the creation of murals for schools in La Xara and other municipalities in the region, using urban art as an educational, cultural and social tool. The realization of this educational mural in the Marina Alta seeks to transform school spaces in more creative, stimulating and linked to the values of learning, coexistence and local identity environments.

Institutional mural painting applied to educational centers generates a positive and lasting impact on students, teachers and the community. Through commissioned school murals, designed specifically for each space, urban art is integrated into courtyards, facades and common areas of schools and institutes, reinforcing the public and cultural character of the environment.
