It is a project with a strong symbolic and social charge, designed to convey a clear message of struggle, dignity and hope through urban art.

The mural depicts the face of a woman facing the viewer. On her skin there are war marks in violet tones, understood not as wounds, but as symbols of resistance, memory and strength. These marks function as a metaphor for all those struggles that women have had to face throughout time, transformed here into a gesture of empowerment and vindication.

The color violet, predominant both in the background and in the stains that surround the figure, is a key element of the project. Historically linked to the feminist movement, this color is used in the mural as a direct visual language, capable of communicating without words values such as equality, social justice and the need for real change. The background is not static: the purple stains generate movement, tension and energy, reinforcing the idea of collective struggle and transformation.

A look that conveys hope and future

One of the most significant elements of the mural are the woman’s green eyes, which contrast with the intensity of the violet and provide a message of hope. This gaze is not anchored in the past, but projected into the future, symbolizing the possibility of change, the overcoming of violence and the construction of a more just and egalitarian society.

The portrait is worked from a realistic approach, seeking a direct connection with the viewer. The figure is not an abstract representation, but a real woman, close, with whom anyone can empathize. This artistic decision reinforces the impact of the message and turns the mural into a tool for collective reflection within the public space.

Urban art as a tool for social awareness

This mural in Ràfol d’Almúnia is an example of how urban art can become a loudspeaker for social causes, using public space as a place for dialogue and visibility.
