This work, promoted by the City Council of Pedreguer, is part of a clear commitment to urban art as a tool for cultural transformation, revitalization of public space and visibility of diversity.

The project is composed of two interventions that dialogue with each other: on the one hand, the main mural, painted by Tardor, and on the other, the central staircase of the square intervened with the colors of the LGTBIQ+ flag. Both actions turn the square into a symbol of inclusion, creating an environment that invites reflection, empathy and celebration of the different identities that make up our society.

A mural that speaks of identity, union and respect

The mural piece created by Tardor maintains the organic, poetic and symbolic style that characterizes his work. Through human figures, vegetation and elements that intertwine in a fluid way, the composition conveys a message of unity in diversity, of connection between people beyond labels or differences.

In this work, the artist has sought to capture an integrating vision of society, where each individual, with his or her way of being, feeling and loving, brings richness and color to the whole. The warm color palette, the use of soft lines and natural elements reinforce the idea of harmony, growth and coexistence. The mural does not impose, it dialogues with the environment and transforms it into a more human space.

An artistic intervention with social value

Beyond its aesthetic impact, the mural and the colorful staircase intervention function as a statement of intent. At a time when there are still forms of discrimination against the LGTBIQ+ collective, actions like this have a profound symbolic value. Making diversity visible, normalizing and celebrating it through art is a way to educate, raise awareness and build a fairer and more plural society.

The Plaça de l’Amistat is now a place that represents Pedreguer’s commitment to the values of respect, equality and freedom. The painting on the staircase, with the colors of the rainbow, turns the access to the square into a symbolic route that accompanies and reinforces the message of the mural. Together, both interventions form a coherent and powerful unit.

Urban art as an engine of transformation

This project is part of a growing trend in many municipalities of the Valencian Community, where urban art is used not only as beautification of public space, but also as a vehicle for social change. The City Council of Pedreguer, with this initiative, is committed to a lively, participatory and committed culture, which generates impact and connection with citizens.

Tardor’s mural in Pedreguer adds to a consolidated trajectory in which the artist uses muralism as a language to tell stories, channel emotions and provoke reflection. Each stroke, each figure, each color is designed to resonate with those who observe it, to leave an emotional imprint on the environment and those who inhabit it.

A new point of reference for neighbors and visitors

Thanks to this intervention, the Plaça de l’Amistat has gone from being a functional space to become a cultural landmark in the center of Pedreguer. The mural has been well received by both neighbors and visitors, generating a positive response on social networks and in the local media. It is an example of how public art can add value, energize spaces and foster pride of belonging.

Such projects also have great tourism potential, as contemporary urban art is increasingly valued by those seeking authentic experiences, close and with content. Pedreguer is thus positioned as a town that is committed to culture as an identity, and that does so by the hand of local artists with projection.

Conclusion

The mural in Plaça de l’Amistat is much more than an aesthetic work: it is a visual manifesto in favor of diversity, respect and inclusion. Thanks to the sensitivity of Tardor Roselló and the commitment of the Pedreguer City Council, urban art here becomes a tool for collective transformation.

This project is a clear example of how contemporary muralism can build community, generate critical thinking and provide meaningful beauty. And how from the villages, a global, direct and necessary message can also be launched.

["post-2432","proyectos","type-proyectos","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
