If you are interested in urban art and want to see recent work in the Marina Alta, touring the murals of the town is an essential experience. In this article I present you a route focused on my interventions -I have <strong data-start=\"518\" data-end=\"545\">7 murals in Benigembla-<\/strong>, with context about the festival and practical recommendations to visit them. <span class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"><span class=\"ms-1 inline-flex max-w-full items-center relative top-[-0.094rem] animate-[show_150ms_ease-in]\" data-testid=\"webpage-citation-pill\"><a class=\"flex h-4.5 overflow-hidden rounded-xl px-2 text-[9px] font-medium transition-colors duration-150 ease-in-out text-token-text-secondary! bg-[#F4F4F4]! dark:bg-[#303030]!\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benigembla.es\/el-municipo\/bimau-benigembla\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"relative start-0 bottom-0 flex h-full w-full items-center\"><span class=\"flex h-4 w-full items-center justify-between\"><span class=\"max-w-[15ch] grow truncate overflow-hidden text-center\">benigembla.es<\/span><span class=\"-me-1 flex h-full items-center rounded-full px-1 text-[#8F8F8F]\">+1<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span>  <\/p>\n<p data-start=\"710\" data-end=\"1269\">The BIMAU (Benigembla International Mostra d&#8217;Art Urb\u00e0) is a meeting that turns the town into a public gallery: national and international artists paint facades and generate a dialogue between art and the rural environment. The exhibition is held periodically and attracts both visitors interested in graffiti and local people who enjoy the socially charged proposals and connection to the landscape. In recent editions it has brought together more than twenty interventions that are already part of the town&#8217;s imaginary. <span class=\"\" data-state=\"closed\"><span class=\"ms-1 inline-flex max-w-full items-center relative top-[-0.094rem] animate-[show_150ms_ease-in]\" data-testid=\"webpage-citation-pill\"><a class=\"flex h-4.5 overflow-hidden rounded-xl px-2 text-[9px] font-medium transition-colors duration-150 ease-in-out text-token-text-secondary! bg-[#F4F4F4]! dark:bg-[#303030]!\" href=\"https:\/\/www.benigembla.es\/el-municipo\/bimau-benigembla\/?utm_source=chatgpt.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span class=\"relative start-0 bottom-0 flex h-full w-full items-center\"><span class=\"flex h-4 w-full items-center justify-between\"><span class=\"max-w-[15ch] grow truncate overflow-hidden text-center\">benigembla.es<\/span><span class=\"-me-1 flex h-full items-center rounded-full px-1 text-[#8F8F8F]\">+1<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span>  <\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1271\" data-end=\"1274\">\n<h2 data-start=\"1276\" data-end=\"1324\">The murals of Tardor in Benigembla<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"1325\" data-end=\"1792\">Throughout several editions of the BIMAU I have painted different pieces that dialogue with nature, memory and rural life. Here is a list of the works I have done in the village. <\/p>\n<ol data-start=\"1794\" data-end=\"3401\">\n<li data-start=\"1794\" data-end=\"2093\">\n<p data-start=\"1797\" data-end=\"2093\"><strong data-start=\"1797\" data-end=\"1824\">&#8220;The skin of the mountain<\/strong> &#8221; &#8211; (Edition n\u00ba8 year 2025)<br data-start=\"1865\" data-end=\"1868\">In Benigembla, where the mist caresses the peaks and the stone still keeps the echo of the earth, I painted a face.<br \/>\nNot just any face: a look that does not observe, but belongs.<br \/>\nA being born of roots, leaves and flowers.<br \/>\nA woman who is earth.<br \/>\nWho does not decorate the facade, but breathes with it.<br \/>\nThis mural is my way of surrendering to nature. To say that we are not above or at the margin, but inside. One of these legends speaks of the beautiful Moorish queen who lived in the castle of Pop and that moments before being invaded by Christians climbed the Pe\u00f1a de la Reina with a nest of sparrows in his hands and said: fly free as all men and women of these lands, take flight and shout with your song of freedom.
